Welcome to North Harris. These images where taken from the road side on the A859, on a 30 minute drive north of Tarbert.
Home to just a couple of hundred people, and accessed by only two roads, the Bealach pass road from the south and the coast road from the North, this is a haven from the noise and clutter of modern life.
The ruined Castle Tioram (pronounced Cheerum) is sited on the rocky tidal island Eilean Tioram (the Dry Island) where the waters of Loch Moidart & the River Shiel meet.
North of Glasgow Loch Katrine has provided fresh water for the City for over 100 yrs. Wonderful loch side walk.
