Bannockburn

Situated on the outskirts of Stirling, the Bannockburn centre is a permeant memorial for the famous battle of 1314.

Out numbered by an English Army with their famous heavy horse Cavalry led by King Edward Longshanks, the Scots used guile to lure Edwards army to fight on boggy land. The result was slaughter.

Scotland’s status of an independent country was secured by King Robert Bruce.
