The ruined Castle Tioram (pronounced Cheerum) is sited on the rocky tidal island Eilean Tioram (the Dry Island) where the waters of Loch Moidart & the River Shiel meet.
Now known as Glencoe Mountain Resort, the white corries is situated about 1 mile from the pass of Glen Coe.
Follow the road along Loch Lochy on the northside of the Great Glen, and take the left turn at the sign for Loch Arkaig. It’s a wonderfully quiet loch with stunning views.
North of Glasgow Loch Katrine has provided fresh water for the City for over 100 yrs. Wonderful loch side walk.
